A diagnosis, not a maturity badge

Architecture is a set of trade-offs

The goal is not a perfect score. It is finding the constraint already costing your team the most time, reliability, or confidence.

Choose what really happens

Answer based on your current system, not the architecture diagram you wish you had.

02

See the constraint

Compare application structure, system boundaries, and API design in one clear result.

Frequently asked questions

About the architecture scorecard

Is this a complete architecture review?

No. It is a fast diagnostic designed to reveal the area most likely to create friction. Use the result as the starting point for a deeper conversation with your team.

Do you upload or analyze my source code?

No. The scorecard only uses the choices you make in your browser. It never asks for access to your repository or application code.

How is the result calculated?

Every choice contributes to application structure, system boundaries, and API design. Your answers are normalized against the maximum possible score in each dimension, and your lowest relative score becomes the primary bottleneck.

Should every system score highly in all three areas?

Not necessarily. A small, short-lived application can succeed with simple architecture. The score matters when the friction it describes is already costing your team time, reliability, or confidence.
